Susie Mitchell - Florence & James Marketing

Susie Mitchell, founder of Florence & James Marketing

With over 20 years of international marketing experience, Susie's career has seen her working across a huge range of industry sectors and businesses (start-ups through to blue chips) launching, strengthening and growing brands to deliver ROI.


Her agency Florence & James Marketing works with clients across their brand development, marketing strategies and marketing campaigns managing all channels that are relevant to their clients whether it's PR, events, websites, search, traditional advertising, digital advertising, email and social media management and more. They also offer consultancy support and training alongside their outsourced marketing support which can be retained or ad-hoc.



Susan Liverman – The Kindful CIC

Mental health & wellbeing in business

Susan Liverman is the founder of The Kindful CIC, a mental health education provider. With a Master's in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy from the University of Oxford Susan combines a wealth of mental health expertise with 20 years of corporate experience, alongside her own lived experience of supporting mental health and neurodiversity.


As both a BIPC participant and delivery partner, Susan understands the entrepreneurial journey first hand. Her inclusive, evidence-based approach aims to make mental health skills accessible and practical for people of all backgrounds.



James Elliot – Information Specialist, BIPC

Northamptonshire

James joined the BIPC Northamptonshire team as an Information Specialist in July 2021.


His interest in business was developed at the University of Northampton, where he completed a degree in Business Management & Entrepreneurship.


All but immediately after graduation, at the age of 21, James took on a vacant retail unit and began his own pet retail business & dog grooming parlour business.


In 2017 James became a level 5 SFEDI accredited business advisor, and has since worked with both new start up business as well as established growing businesses. He has also a wealth of experience supporting businesses in the Social Enterprise sector.



James Stancombe – Information Specialist, BIPC Northamptonshire

James Stancomb, information specialist for the BIPC Northamptonshire

James is a BIPC Information Specialist and he mainly works with customers in North Northamptonshire. He has three decades of experience in delivering and managing national, regional and local business and innovation support and sector development projects after an earlier career in defence procurement. Prior to joining BIPC Northamptonshire, he managed a project to connect small businesses with materials scientists at a university. When not doting over his grandchildren, James can be found capturing aeroplanes, birds and American Footballers on film.



Kirk Underwood – Programme Coordinator, BIPC Northamptonshire

Programme Coordinator, BIPC Northamptonshire

Kirk is a qualified information professional with wider responsibilities across the library service, alongside delivering the Business & IP Centre Northamptonshire offer. He provides business start-up support and delivers one-to-ones, workshops, and webinars on topics such as business basics, market research, and the principles of intellectual property. At BIPC Northamptonshire, Kirk also helps businesses make the most of a range of online business subscription resources, demonstrating how to access and use them effectively to gather valuable market intelligence.
