Start-Up Day 2025: Build Your Business in Northamptonshire

Have a business idea but don’t know where to start? The Business & Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) Northamptonshire is excited to bring back its annual Start-Up Day on Monday 17 November 2025 at Northamptonshire Central Library. Held during Global Entrepreneurship Week, this event is packed with opportunities to learn, network, and get inspired by successful local entrepreneurs. Whether you’re ready to launch or still brainstorming, #BIPCStartUpDay 2025 offers the resources, insights, and community you need to Build Your Business in Northamptonshire. 

Join us for all or part of the day from 9:30am to 2:30pm - a chance to connect with like-minded individuals and discover the support available for entrepreneurs across Northamptonshire. 

Start-Up Day 2025 Programme 

Throughout the day, a lineup of inspiring talks and interactive sessions will introduce you to local business success stories and offer insights on everything from branding to managing your stress as a new business owner. Here are the highlights: 

• From start-up to success with Stuart Thomas of Medi8 Therapy: Stuart will share his personal learnings and insights on how to build a successful business. 

• Start-Up Stars Panel: Listen to three BIPC Northamptonshire Build Your Business grant winners, including Julia Williams of Antler and Rose, Jo Whight of Red Lotus Consultancy, and Clare Wood of Little Bear, as they share how they turned their ideas into reality. Ruth Roan of South Midlands Growth Hub will moderate this inspirational session. 

• Introduction to GrantFinder with Matt Godfrey of Idox: Discover how to use the platform and make the most of its features to unlock funding opportunities for your business. 

• Brand evolution for start-ups with Marie-Louise O’Neill of Lovely Evolution: Gain practical tips on how to develop your initial branding ideas into a more polished professional version. And know the signs it's time to evolve and grow your brand. 

• Mini workshop: From stressed to steady with Susan Liverman of The Kindful: Learn simple and practical approaches to understanding and responding to emotions.
